The workshop has 12 upgrade slots (engine, boost, nitrous, gearbox, launch control, weight and more), most with three stages. Every part changes the physics simulation, so the shop shows what it really does to your quarter-mile time. The tyre shop fits tyre compounds and wheels on a jack. ### Are the times real or scripted? Real. Every run is simulated at 120 Hz: torque curves, gearing, shift times, weight transfer, tyre grip and temperature, turbo spool and nitrous. A Bruiser hot rod runs the quarter mile in 12 to 13 seconds stock, depending on your launch and shifts; with every upgrade fitted, under 10. ### Are the cars real brands? No. All 40 cars are original designs made for the game, from a salvage hot rod to quad-turbo hypercars, electric and hydrogen machines, turbines and flying cars. There are no licensed badges and no copies of real cars. ### What are the flying cars? The AETHER class at the top of the ladder. They hover on the strip, launch on a thrust lever instead of a clutch and run past 600 km/h.
